Inauguration Representation

Pres. Monson has asked that Pres. Uchtdorf and Elder Nelson attend the inauguration of Pres. Elect Barack Obama. Seems like an interesting assignment. Pres. Monson then added, "We send our best wishes to President-elect Obama and pray for the blessings of a loving Father in Heaven to be upon him and his administration." Perhaps we should consider a similar paradigm in our prayers for this country.

  1. It's called praying for the best, hoping for the best, desiring the best, but preparing for the worst. I hope the best for Obama, I hope the best for this country. This country was founded on fundamental Christian principles, don't believe me read the Constitution, the Dec. of Independence, or look at a coin. It's rife with words of in God we trust etc. Based on Obama's past record of ties with corruption in Chicago, his voting record for infanticide, and his megalomaniacal acceptance of being referred to as the "One" or the "Messiah", I am subsequently stocking up on ammo and food because while I pray for the best, I am preparing for the worst. That said, we know in the last days even some of the elect will be decieved and I am of the opinion that Obama will mask his true intentions and divert public attention away from the truly destructive actions against the constitution. I also do not believe it will be a one man show, Nancy Pelosi among others have been leading this country down an undesirable path for quite some time. I will not despair, I'm looking forward to the true change in management, the real immaculate inaugaration to come.
