When did college get so expensive?

I knew that gaining an education was expensive but to one girl apparently it cost her the most valuable thing she owned; her virginity. There is a student who needed to find a way to pay for her schooling. Some go for grants, loans, scholarships, she decided to auction her virginity off to the highest bidder. This transaction is to take place at the Bunny Ranch in Nevada where prostitution is legal. Latest number was that she was going to get 3.7 million dollars. I thought we were in a slow time economically, but it appears as if some people are pretty slow in other area's as well. If I find out that bid came from an AIG exec's bailout bonus I will be upset.

Two other points of interest, the girl is going to school for marriage and family therapy. Great start. Second, it appears as if she has a sister who paid for her schooling through prostitution through the same facility and gave her sister the suggestion of the auction in the first place. The first sister probably got a good bit less than 3.7 million, and I wonder if that therapy training will go to immediate use with her sister's, almost certain to develop, inferiority complex. I bet their parents are so proud. Perhaps a good path to avoiding such temptation is to employ a good savings plan. That and teaching righteous principles when they are young. Of course, there is no absolute surety that you won't parent the most profitable virgin on the planet, but the chances would be diminished significantly.

Glenn Beck had an interview that you can read or hear at this link. It is quite revealing.
Watch the CNN video of the story here.

  1. Look out James I am going to use my Logic on you.

You assume that her virginity is valuable to her, this would be a logical fallacy as you are suposeing your values apply to her. As she is a marriage and family grad school student I will go out and make the assumption that she got her undergrad in something equally as useless like "women's studies" If you know anything about these fields they are the most man hating fields in the world, in fact many "feminists" view all sexual intercourse as rape so for this women she this is all most likely a political statement about how horrible men are thereby backing up all the things her lesbian instructors taught her.

Here is a another assumption....I wonder who it was that molested her as a kid.

  2. I highly doubt this hooker is a virgin, with all the hymen reconstruction and such available these days. Probably just another run of the mill bus stop skank.

I have my doubt's that someone with such low charachter has intentions to complete her education with the funds either.

I cant wait till the yutz who buys the "V" sues her when all her ex boyfriends come out saying they allready had her.

    The Stupid punishing the Stupid.

  3. Hymen reconstruction? Didn't know there was a market for such a procedure. Thanks for that mental picture though.

    M. Galt,

Your saying that my argument is illogical seems unfair. My understanding of truth, in this case the value of virginity, does not render the argument illogical simply because the story's subject disagrees with me on virginity's value? Perhaps I should clarify the semantics of the argument using doctrinal truth.

Her virginity has eternal and irreplaceable value fully quantifiable by God. Perhaps in your definition of logic or logical systems, value has no place because it is subjective therefore rending my argument illogical. I would like to think I am using eternal truth (not subjective opinion) to determine value and applying it to the subject's circumstances as a back drop. This is not an assumption that the subject agrees with me.

I was not stating that she felt the same value. It seems then that your assumption was based on a judgment of my semantics, not the system of logic. I was not trying to prove her value of virginity, nor was I trying to prove that she valued virginity the same I do.

The statement that virginity is the most valuable thing she owned is eternal truth whether she agrees with that or not.

  4. James is illogical. James also uses a MAC. Ha Ha.

  5. Because I like MAC's doesn't make me illogical. That is an illogical argument.
