Dalai who?

I wonder how the Beastie Boys feel about Obama sending the Dalai Lama out the back door with the trash? For years we have been lectured by liberals about the need to free Tibet from the grip of Chinese oppression. The left’s savior now has a chance to stand up against the communist Chinese by meeting with the Dalai Lama in the open and then make a strong statement of support for his cause. Did he do that? Of course not, you know who did though? This guy!
Bush was the only American president to meet openly with the Dalai Lama and he did back in 2007. In doing so he exercised the moral courage to stand with oppressed people around the world, and I’m sure he paid him the respect of not sending him out the back door with all the garbage. And don’t worry lefties, I’m no fan of Bush but I am at least able to draw an honest comparison and say on this one he made the right decision.

The picture above illustrates better then any words could Obama’s real feelings on standing up for oppressed people around the world. Like most liberals he will talk for hours (when told to by a teleprompter) about helping the oppressed but when the rubber meets the road his actions demonstrate something completely different. As Latter Day Saints what kind of treatment do you think this type of politician would give us? The Dalai Lama is as cool as it gets for the left, Mormons are as un-cool as it gets. He sends the cool guy out the back door with the trash, what kind of respect would he really have for us?

  1. In the spirit of fairness, when the apostles went to the white house to meet with Obama and Harry Reid they went in the front door and had photographers present.

While I think this was a tasteless move by Obama, I don't know that I feel comfortable making the leap that Obama is going to treat mormons the same way since his actions have already demonstrated that he didn't treat the apostles that way.
