I can just see the Republicans salivating at the mouth in their lust for office this fall due to the particular divisive political climate Obummer has fostered. The "One" - I don't think so, maybe he meant the "One" as in he would only serve one term? He is the greatest divider of our time, and he has made a mess of the nation. The answer however is not voting in a bunch of Republicans. They have shown that they cannot be trusted any further than Nancy Pelosi can be thrown. Both parties are self serving, and that is the root of the problem. Vote all those clowns out and vote in independents and members of other parties. I don't know that I'll vote for anyone who belongs to either party. I encourage you to do the same.
Wow! I agree with the GWH! There are very few members of Congress from either party that have proven their ability to stand up to the special interests and carry through on their campaign promises to their constituents. Obama is a perfect example of the kind of politician that does not deserve a return trip to office.

In other words, where does the national democratic party stand in regard to the democratic socialists of America? Are you guys a faction of the democratic party or something different altogether?
Let be more specific in my query- are you aresocialist first or a democrat first?

The word Democratic in the name of the Democratic Socialists of America refers to the fact that we believe in democracy. The group has no ties, official or otherwise, to the Democratic Party.
ReplyDeleteI can't speak for DSA as a whole, but I believe in democracy more than I believe in socialism. That is to say, I do not believe that any economic system should be imposed on the people of a nation against their will as expressed in free and fair elections.
