Benefits of Polygamy for Women: Do you believe they exist?
I came across an article the other day when my wife asked me to find the term for women who have multiple husbands. My search lead me to an article about the benefits that polygamy has for women. The article is written by a man who is a polygamy supporter from www.polygamy.com. (yes there is a polygamy dot com) Among the points that I hold to be quite a stretch, the writer argued a benefit to women: Being able to marry the men who attract most women means they don't have to settle just for what's left after other women have the best pickings."
I also found that this article was hosted on an islamic website. I am curious what the connection might be. I am not very well versed on Islamic tenants so I am unsure what the official stand on polygamy is (if there is one). It almost seemed as if this was an advertisement to women about polygamy. This is could be content for an FLDS proselyting tract. Perhaps I have not further commentary to be made on the article, the content was just of interest to me. I laughed even though I don't think that this was the goal of the author. So enjoy - share with your friends with the links above.

ReplyDeletePolygamy is "a person having multiple spouses".
