Is your point that they were wrong back then to be so alarmist and that modern-day conspiracy theories are similarly wrong? That we have a history of ginning up fear in America to advance political ideas and grab political power, but that the moderation of the many is an effective counter-weight? Agreed.

Um no..... since you are clearly libtarded, my point in posting this is that while FDR failed, Obama is pushing the tactic to it's full potential this time. Honestly I don't think FDR wanted to be a dictator, I think he just wanted to expand his power within the existing system. Obama on the other hand is unpredictable and does want to fundamentally change the U.S. system. -GWH-
